Memorial Day

Hey Maddie, Hey Katie, Where are you going? 

Can We Go Too? Can we have a flag?

Yes, You can go. No, You can not have a flag. We are going to the cemetery and place them on graves to honor the dead.

Dead, What Dead? Who's Dead? Did we know them?

Anybody that is dead, but in particular the veterans. No, We did not know them. They did not know us either, but many of them died so that we could live in a country with so many freedoms. This is our way of saying, "Thank You" and showing a little gratitude for what they did for us.

WOW! Kind of makes you think, doesn't it? We have it really good, but people died so that we can have it like this. I guess we should appreciate it more. Let's try to show our appreciation, at least for today.
