Not Enough Easter Baskets

Harry came and asked if there were any leftover Easter baskets. I had already given him the few leftovers that we have here. It seems that it wasn't enough. 

Don't we have any more baskets that I can have? Not even one more? Harry, 

Where are the 4 that I gave you?

Well...Katie always looks so sad, so I offered her one to cheer her up.

She stood on her tippy toes and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I liked it,

In fact, I liked it so much, that I offered a basket to Violet too.

Then she gave me a kiss on the cheek too.

So of course, I thought I would offer a basket to Rosa

And Rosa gave me another kiss on the cheek.

I only had one basket left, so I offered it to Suki. No one ever talks to her because her English isn't so good and I thought she would like it.

Her English isn't very good, but her kiss was the best!

Well, now I don't have any more Easter Baskets, not even for me and there is still a house full of girls who haven't kissed me.So many girls, so few Easter Baskets.

The New Sister (Emily)

Guess What? We are getting a new sister? I am going to meet her. Do you guys want to come too?

We might as well, there is nothing on T.V.

Want to go hide Sunny's homework from her?

Then she would be in trouble for not turning it in and she and mom would be very upset.

How can she be so pretty and so....so....so, Well, you know, Sunnyish. 

We are going to have to get rid of her. I can't take two of them.

Wait, I have another of my brilliant ideas. Do you remember the green jacket?

You want to mail her to Aunt Cleo? Mom would never fall for that a second time.

 No, but what if we mailed her to moms grand daughter Emily? Mom would never refuse anything for Emily. Now we just have to figure out how to get her in the box and to stay quiet.

I am warning you, don't do it. I am going to do my homework. You guys should be doing yours too.

I'm in. How do you play.

Whoever is it hides in the box and the other sisters open it and pretend that you are a new sister and we are just meeting you.

The Summer Report

I have to write a report on one person and how they plan to spend their whole summer. It shouldn't be too hard and if I do it now, I won't have to worry about it later.

Hey Sierra, How do you plan to spend your summer?

I planned to practice swimming to try out for the swim team. It is so cold that I can't wear my swimming suit anywhere, but in the house. No practice, no swim team.

Hey Annie, How do you plan to spend your summer?

I wanted to plant a new flower garden, but it is too cold outside. The only flowers that I will have are silk ones.

Hey Mickey, How do you plan to spend your summer?

Babysitting as much as possible, just like the rest of the year. Becca likes me best and I can save money for things that I want.

Hey Kailey and Suki, How do you two plan to spend your summer?

We don't know about the rest of the summer, but today we are going to play tennis, at an indoor court. It is too cold to play outside.

Hey Lulu, Care to tell me how you are going to spend your summer? 

What Summer? Let me know when it gets here and maybe I will tell you then.

I am almost afraid to ask, but how are you two planning to spend your summer?

We had planned to join the carnival and tour the country with them, but Mom won't give us any money for gas to get started.

SIGH. I think I better just make something up.

New Years Day- The Morning After

Hey Cleo! Hey Beth! Was that a great party last night or what? 

We don't know. We weren't invited and didn't know anything about it until this morning. We didn't know that you went.

I didn't and I wasn't, but look what else we missed.

I should only have to pick up the one that I wore.

I only came down... to see what the noise was after you woke up CJ. I didn't stay all that long

At least you do not have to vacuum the whole living room.

Mom says that if you play. you have to pay. This cleaning up after ourselves isn't worth it. Next Year, We are going to have the party somewhere else.

New Years Eve Party

We went out for a bit today. I came back to find a New Years Eve Party in full swing at my house. I don't know if they can wait for the stroke of midnight, but they are trying.

As the evening wears on, some of the little ones are getting more than a little tired.

Some are not going to make it into the New Year.

Some, unfortunately are just getting started and wound up

Some think the decorations are great fun

Sometimes the fun is at someone else's expense. Look Out Sunny!

And some of the girls are just worried about looking Good

The Party is over I think I will have to carry some tired girls to bed and let them believe that they made it into the new year. They can try again next year. Maddie and Nora are the only two even still talking and they are reasonable enough to know that they are too tired to last another 2 hours.

Even Betty and Bethany have quit tormenting Sunny and are at their best, snuggled together.

And no matter how hard they want to stay awake, their little eyes are ready to close for the evening.
